From 2005, KST has developed into a special purpose Knowledge Study support tool. It supports the process of knowledge study and analysis all of the way through from the initial interviews that collect information, through analysis and the creation of resources, to the continuous improvement of the knowledge and analysis of progress. The knowledge study tool has a broad range of specific capabilities that have been developed to support actual knowledge study projects. These include:
In addition, KST can export a fully linked HTML based WEB resource in a few seconds following the completion of a study. This resource can be made available to staff and it is also a very useful way to help an analyst to prepare a report on the knowledge study for managers. Part of the web resource is several linked maps to allow viewers to see the full knowledge structure and link to any part of it. The web resource can show all people that are linked to the resource and can show these people within the context of a full list of knowledge elements organised by highest RISK.
